History of the BekahWay

I guess I would have to say that it all started with crayons. Or maybe with that "American Way" magazine that's always on the American Airlines flights. I remember that whenever Dad went on a long trip, I would either make him one after he got home. It had all the things we had done in the couple of weeks he had been gone. It always had adds, pictures, fashion advice, and sometimes a menu, for my make-believe restaurant. After a while, I found I could make it easier on myself by creating it in a Word document. So now, I had clip art, cool fonts, and some other nifty things.
I eventually stopped doing it for a while. I had more 'important' things to do. I was manning the family blog. But, the satisfaction of being in charge of a blog didn't last long. I wanted my own. So, as you may be able to guess, I did get my own. (If you didn't know that, leave a comment, and I'll get back to you and send you my blogs address)

So now, every once in a while ( I should update more), I post something fairly random about something equally random.

Hmm.

I've been trying to convince one of my friends that macs are the best. (I've got her sister convinced) She says they are too complicated and expensive. Cost, I can kind of understand. But complicated? *scoff* Really. I found this really sweet site that has a ton of statistics and facts about Macs in general. Did you know a new Mac is sold every 9 seconds? Did you know Bill Gates mansion was designed on a Mac? Sweetness.
   Macs are so pretty, too.

I liked this quote...   "Being a Mac user is like being a Navy SEAL: a small, elite group of people with access to the most sophisticated technology in the world, who everyone calls on to get the really tough jobs done quickly and efficiently." -unknown

Seriously, I don't know why some people don't like Macs. Most likely they haven't even tried them.

Apple or you can  go to  microsoft  . Just take a quick look at the web page. Simply amazing, no?

(Side note:  If you have a spare iPod touch, or xbox 360, shoot an email off to me. I can take 'em off your hands for FREE! )

Purrfect Day!

What a gorgeous day! And an even prettier week! This week has really shown us that spring is on it's way! Though I love Winter, Spring is my favorite season. Storms, my birthday, storms, almost summer... You get the idea. Today was so fabulous,  we went down to the Marina in Everett.  You could see both the mountains and the water perfectly! We stopped at subway on our way there, to pick up some subnums. Mine was very good. After we finished up there, we headed back home. TO help with the Saturday cleaning, I swept off our back patio. I stole Sarah's travel iPod player, (because I only have the rockinist stereo evah!!) and plugged it in outside. Celtic music was perfect for sweeping off the patio. I kept it down low, of course. I was sweeping, and I heard this rustling behind me. A really big...haha, just kidding. A medium sized cat, though it looked twice it's size with all that fur, was just passing through, though it throughly freaked me out. And that's why the title of this most is spelled the way it is. Just to let ya know...
For dinner we had yummy chicken curry, noodles, salad and brownies. Soooo tasty.

It's been a good week. I can't wait, though, for Dad to get home on Tuesday!

Sweetly Broken

To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing

For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just

At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered

What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified

You’ve called me out of death
You’ve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross I’m reconciled

In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness

King Tut

Something of major importance happened today! In 1923. Haha. I was searching around for something interesting to write about, and found this on wiki.

1923 - English archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter unsealed the burial chamber of Tutankhamun, an Egyptian Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty.

Apparently, no one knows how exactly he died. The back of his skull had been dented, so many people think it was murder. Know who killed him? Either his successor, his wife, or his Chariot Driver. Interesting, eh?

Ah. Ok, then. This week has been pretty much normal, just without Dad. Missing him, but also very excited for him, too. We still get to talk, and sometimes even see him, which is pretty cool.
Today we had a great time with our friends the Frolands. We went bowling, then spent some time together at their house. It was pretty awesome. Tomorrow is *sigh* saturday. Weeeeeeekend! YAY!

Still learning some interesting stuff in school. Working on a couple of papers. A pretty big test in Algebra.. But it's all good.

Ok! Talk to ya later!

Enjoy!

Ahhhh. Weekends. You gotta love 'em. After you get the Saturday cleaning done, they're pretty sweet! This morning, church was great, and the rest of the day has been, too! Right now, I'm sitting downstairs, on our white leather couch, typing on Sarah's MacBook, while watching her play Zelda: Majora's Mask, and reading her the walkthru, for a particularly hard place in the game. Mum and I made pop corn earlier... It's ALL good. Dad just left for a Prayer retreat, so that's one negative, but other than that... Tomorrow is a normal day of school, which I am actually looking forward to! Though I wouldn't trade one minute of my precious weekend. ;)
For school, I've been reading 'The Great Omission' by Dallas Willard. It's a really great book, just packed full of a lot of important information. I've really enjoyed reading it. I'm only on the fourth chapter, too!
I really cool DVD I got to watch for science was 'The Case for a Creator'. It was SO cool! I actually watched it twice..

In Sunday School, we are reading another really great book called 'Blue Like Jazz'. I've been enjoying that, too.

Well, ciao!
